Un video composto, in ogni senso del termine.
Il titolo innanzitutto: Cuore crudo allude a quest’organo messo a nudo, la cui carne soffre come un fiore insanguinato e tragico, ma che può rivelarsi altrettanto crudele.
Composto, perché realizzato da due corpi, quattro mani, due immaginari: Enrico Frattaroli e EliZabeth Frolet (E+F)2. Ancor più composto, poiché i due creatori provengono da domini diversi e hanno unito, nel tempo di questi pochi minuti d’immagini e di musica, i loro due percorsi distinti. Il primo, uomo di teatro, da più di un decennio impegnato su Sade, la seconda, artista di arti plastiche che da più di vent’anni trita e impasta il corpo umano per comprenderne la tragica magia. Cuore crudo, un video-affresco di circa nove minuti, mostra su uno sfondo d’immagine fissa in bianco e nero, un uomo raccolto in se stesso; preghiera, solitudine, prostrazione che fanno apparire, nell’aria pallida che lo avvolge, le visioni del suo cuore, di cuori crudeli, di corpi lacerati, di occhi perduti e interrogativi. E’ lui questo sangue crudele, o gli altri che lo forzano a vedere e a capire? Ancora una volta ambiguità e duplicità di questo cuore, anima infame (âme infâme) che insieme batte e uccide. Composto, perché sono un uomo e una donna, un italiano e una francese a lavorare insieme. Composto, poiché è il suono a scandire in tre movimenti il tempo del cuore, ponendo in contrappunto cadenze inquietanti di contrabbassi, accordi carnali di pianoforte e risonanze di voce con le immagini – in cui il sangue è insieme lampo e dramma – che tragicamente, passionalmente o violentemente irrompono, sorgono o svaniscono sullo schermo.

A composite video, in all ways.
First, because of its title : Cuore crudo/Crude heart, alludes to this organ, exposed naked, with its flesh, as flower that can prove to be just as cruel as it can be tragic and bloody.
Composite, because it was made by two bodies, four hands, two imaginations : Enrico Frattaroli and EliZabeth Frolet (E+F)2. Once again, composite, because those two creators come from two different worlds and have united, during those ten minutes of images and sound, their two distinct personal developments. The first one, is a man of the theatre who has been working for more than ten years on the Marquis de Sade, the second one, is a visual artist who for more than twenty years has kneaded the human body in order to try and understand its tragic magic. Cuore crudo/Crude heart, is a video that shows on the background of a still black and white image, a man that collects himself in a silent prayer alone, in a state of prostration, while in the mean time appear around him, in the pale air that envelops him, the visions of his heart/mind : cruel hearts, lacerated bodies, lost and querying eyes. Is this cruel blood part of himself, or is it the blood of others that force him to pray in order to understand and see?
Once again, this heart is both ambiguous and double, both soul and infamous (âme et infâme), a heart that beats and kills at the same time. Composite, again, because a man and a woman have worked together, French and Italian. Composite, because the sounds accompany the images where blood is both radiance and drama, set themselves as a counterpoint of the regular cadences of the double bass, with changing sounds, noises or ornaments that resound together with what emerges, irrupts or vanishes on the screen.
